Höegh Autoliners Completes its First Carbon Neutral Voyage

On 19 March, Höegh Autoliners accelerated its decarbonisation efforts successfully completing its first carbon neutral voyage from Europe to South Africa. During this voyage the New Horizon vessel Höegh Trigger ran on advanced biofuels meeting the highest sustainability standards. The successful trial voyage showed that biofuel is a viable choice for vessels in the fleet.

Another Successful Import and Delivery to Door Rustenburg, South Africa was Coordinated by FATS

Representing a local customer FATS managed the importation, customs clearing and abnormal transport of their mining equipment and machinery to final destination at Rustenburg, South Africa.

The 3 items of project cargo arrived by breakbulk vessel into the Port of Durban on a sunny Saturday afternoon, the FATS team were on standby on the quay to welcome the vessel and her cargo from China, just one of the superior services FATS offers to customers.

Throughout the discharge operations, FATS team monitored and remained in attendance ensuring updated information is passed onto our customer for the progress of the discharge of their cargo.

The three units were successfully delivered at the customers premises within the set time frame.

The Indian Government wanted 200 tons to be moved in 4 days. Anil Mantra was asked on the 25th of March to arrange for the flights to land on or before 1600 hrs on the 31st into Delhi. As 27th to 29th March Indian DGCA was closed for holidays getting permissions was s challenge. Crew for the flights was another challenge. VN gave their full, rather 200% support to Anil Mantra to fight this situation and even cancelled a few domestic flights to accommodate the special request and finally schedule a combination of A350 and A321 landing almost four times a day starting from the 29th to the 31st of March.
