Atlas Heavy recently had a customer reach out for a solution to transport a ships rudder from Galveston to a repair facility in Houston. Atlas Heavy were ready to take on the challenge which involved a barge crane to load the 100+mt piece from the quayside to barge and the same from barge to Atlas Heavy’s own self proppelled transporters (PST’s) at the Houston Port. From there they rolled the short distance to the repair facility where it was safely unloaded.

Big-T came out to help lift the 120 ton ships rudder.
