The government-owned railway company in Finland (VR) have kept the DV12 locomotives in such great shape they are still in full working order after 50 years of service.

The V16 engine produces 1360 horsepower and weighs 65-69 tonnes. It has a top speed of 85 km/h when pulling a freight train, and 125 km/h when pulling a passenger train.

Against all odds, the team managed to get the job done! Following a direct flight of 14 hours, the cargo was safely delivered to its destination within budget and the required timeframe.

The journey presented some challenges, particularly due to the tight space conditions to the west of Australia. However, with commitment to delivering cost-effective solutions led OOG Plus to explore various carriers to secure the necessary confirmed space.

The cargo total dim7.44.04.06m, weighing 10.4 tons, was expertly handled using a 40-foot flat rack container (1*40FR OWH ).

The package was loaded based on an onboard loading operation wherein the cargo was lifted separately by port gantry with the help of a UC hook. The cargo was placed athwartships on a bed of pre-placed 5×40’FR containers stowed under-deck on-board M.V. Safeen Power.

The operation was extremely risky considering the cargo weight and on-going monsoon weather conditions in Mumbai but the same was executed seamlessly by our expert team of professionals.
